Very sad to learn of this recent development... The original scenario was bad enough, but learning of this latest twist places a new perspective on it for me.
Just goes to show that even people who have the world in the palm of their hands have challenges just as difficult to face as those who have the world on their shoulders... But it's who we are in the face of those challenges which defines our legacies and our mark left behind, not the challenges themselves.

Davi was a far better waterman than all of us combined. He spent his life in and around the ocean. Weather it was fishing or charging secret spots around the central coast. Sure he stayed up a little longer than some of us, but that doesn't take away from the man/surfer/waterman that he was.
MattI have surfed all around the world, and one of my greatest memories was at Fullers in 1986. BIGGEST surf i have still to this day paddled into. And it was only me and him that made it out to the lineup....Him yellin at me to go, me wondering why am i here.
I will truly miss him, and he will be in the water with us forever.
